Vapor Barriers

Crawlspace Doctor of Northwest Georgia will install and service vapor barriers for your crawl space in Northwest Georgia, Cobb County, Fulton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County and the cities of Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Roswell and Sandy Springs.

Moisture is evaporated naturally from the soil in crawlspaces. A proper vapor barrier is necessary to prevent the moisture from accumulating on the wooden structures of your home. The vapor barrier also needs to be installed on the exterior foundation walls of your crawlspace. This prevents wet foundation walls from emitting moisture into the crawlspace. Crawlspace Doctor has developed systems to install proper vapor barrier.

Mr. Ossie was very responsive to my initial call, was very timely in making our first appointmenthis knowledge of the crawl space business was top notchwithin minutes after his thorough inspection, he presented a slide show on his laptop computer showing me numerous close-up and panoramic pictures of the crawl space areai was more than impressed and totally satisfied with his professionalism and immediate determination of defects in the area. I hired Richard to clean up and dry out a very nasty crawlspace after getting 3 other proposals. My decision was based mostly on reviews on Kudzu. Richard put me in touch with another firm to clean up the mold that my procrastination had allowed to get out of control, then he carried out his proposal, including bringing in another company to spray foam insulation on the crawlspace walls and adjacent wood structure. Then the real complications began. My termite company said the foam prevented them from doing a valid inspection. Worse, several months later I was selling the house and needed a termite letter for closing. Richard and I had no luck getting the foam-spraying company to remove the foam from the areas needed for inspection, so he came back and devoted 2 man-days of effort in removing that foam -- at no charge to me. Richard is a man of the highest integrity. Combine that with his knowledge, dependability, and work ethic, and I give him my highest possible recommendation.
